Description

The remains of the former town wall are located in the grounds of Pipewell, to the north of the house in Icklesham, Winchelsea. This section of the medieval town wall dates from around 1415 and is constructed of stone rubble. It stands approximately seven feet high and is two feet thick, representing part of the north west angle of the original structure.
