5/20 The Parish Church of St Nicholas and St Mary 3.8.61 (Formerly listed as Church of St Mary and St Nicholas)

Chancel, central tower, short nave of three bays with aisles and south porch. Built about 1366-9 by Sir William de Etchingham, who is buried in the church with a fine brass. Original screen and miserere stall in the chancel. One of the finest medieval churches in Sussex.
