Description

The Parish Church of St Nicholas and St Mary is a Grade I listed building located on High Street in Etchingham. It was constructed around 1366-1369 by Sir William de Etchingham, who is interred within the church along with a notable brass memorial. The church features a chancel, a central tower, a short nave with three bays, and aisles, as well as a south porch. Inside, there is an original screen and a miserere stall in the chancel. This church is recognized as one of the finest medieval churches in Sussex.
