Description

Number 7 on Lion Street is a building that features a 19th-century front but is originally a cottage from the 17th century or earlier. It has two storeys and one window, with a roof covered in curved tiles. The early 19th-century shop front includes iron glazing bars, which are also reflected in the fanlight above the doorway. The building has an entablature with a moulded cornice and architrave, although the door itself is modern. According to the Victoria County History, there are ceiling beams inside the building. This property is part of a group of listed buildings on the west side of Lion Street.
