Description

Former Beauport Home Farm, built around 1870, is a notable example of a planned layout that includes three farm labourer's cottages, a barn, stabling, and other outbuildings associated with the now-demolished Beauport House. The buildings are constructed from yellow sandstone ashlar.

The central section consists of two storey cottages, Nos. 17 and 19, which feature a slate roof, four casements with stone mullions, and door cases with reeded piers. The garden elevation showcases two bays on both floors and includes a date stone, although this is obscured by vegetation.

Attached to the gabled wings are single-storey sandstone and slated outbuildings. The barn is located to the northeast, while the southeast wing contains another cottage, formerly known as No. 2. This cottage has two casements and a circular domed stair turret on its side elevation, along with circular openings in the gable end.

The site is recognized for its interesting Victorian arrangement of farm buildings.
