Description

No. 36 on Tilekiln Lane is a 17th century timber-framed house that has undergone later alterations and additions. It stands two storeys high with a stuccoed ground floor and tile-hung upper storey. The roof is tiled and features gable ends. The front facade includes three widely spaced casement windows, with three-light and two-light configurations that have glazing bars and shutters on the ground floor. There is a central doorway that is sheltered by a wood-lattice porch topped with a lead-clad tent-shaped roof. The house has rendered chimney stacks and the rear features three hipped roofs.
