Description

Fairlight Place is a house, with a front elevation dating to the 16th century and later 18th-century extensions. The south-facing front is constructed of ashlar and has a tiled roof with gable ends. It is two storeys high with an attic, and features three windows, along with two hipped dormers. The windows are large casement windows with glazing bars. A two-storey porch, rendered with cement, has been added centrally, featuring a round-headed doorway and moulded stone coping. A large stone chimney breast is present on the west end, incorporating moulded string courses. Behind this front are two parallel wings at right angles, built in the 18th century from ashlar and red brick, with sash windows retaining their original glazing bars. The entire house is covered by tiled roofs.
