Description

No. 298 on Cople Road is a 17th-century house with a timber-framed structure and a pebbledash exterior, topped by a clay tile roof. The building has a two-room plan, with an outstorey and attics, and features a later one-storey wing that projects from the rear. The front elevation includes two three-light casement windows with glazing bars and a gabled dormer that has a two-light casement window, also with glazing bars. The windows have been replaced in the 20th century. There is a partially glazed plank door set in a moulded surround, which is off-line with a red brick ridge stack. The roof is half-hipped at the southwest end.
