Description

No. 40 Wellington is an early 19th-century building with a stuccoed exterior and a slate hipped roof. It stands two storeys tall and features one window on the front, which has sashes with vertical glazing bars. The first-floor window has been restored, while the ground-floor window is set in a moulded case. To the left of the front is a doorway with a reeded doorcase, although the cornice is missing, and it has a modern glazed door. The rear elevation, which overlooks the town, is three storeys high. The ground floor has been built onto, and there are two windows above, all of which are sashes with glazing bars in moulded casings. To the left, there is a two-storeyed wooden canted bay window with sashes.
