Description
No 32 Tackleway is a late 18th century to early 19th century building featuring a small, tile-hung, brick basement and a tiled hipped roof. It has two storeys and a basement, with a main front at the rear (west) overlooking a tour. The building is two windows wide, with sash windows that have glazing bars set in moulded casings. The basement has similar windows and a central door that leads to the basement, which is accessed by stone steps with iron railings and turned newels. The main central door is adorned with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, topped by a rectangular fanlight with a reeded frieze and a flush-panelled door. The rear elevation, which faces the street, is tile-hung and features painted brick, with two storeys and one modern casement window, including a high area wall of painted brick. Nos 26 to 29 form a group, with Nos 26 and 29 being of local interest only.
