Description

Albion House is a late 18th-century building of three storeys and an attic, located on Cobourg Place. The ground floor is constructed of painted brick, while the upper floors are weatherboarded. The roof is a newly tiled mansard with gabled ends, incorporating two flat-roofed dormers with sash windows featuring glazing bars. The front facade has two windows, with sashes and glazing bars set within moulded surrounds and small ledge hoods supported by shaped brackets. A central 18th-century doorway is present on the ground floor, featuring a moulded doorcase, a plain frieze, a moulded cornice, a rectangular fanlight with ornate glazing bars, and a panelled door. Area railings with arrow-head shafts and pineapple finials are also included. Albion House is part of a group with No 11, Harpsichord House and West Hill Villa.
