Description

This is a pair of houses dating from around 1830, designed by James Burton. The buildings are stuccoed with a rusticated ground floor. They are three storeys high, with a basement, and three bays wide. The front features two canted bay windows; the central windows are framed by moulded architraves, and all the windows are sash windows without glazing bars. A continuous ornate cast iron balcony runs across the first floor, sheltered by a tent-shaped canopy. The ground floor has a wide segmental-headed opening that contains the two doorways, united by a moulded impost. The roof is slate-covered. Included in the listing is the area balustrade of number 116. The buildings form a group with numbers 111 to 127.
