Description
Targetts Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is partly encased in painted brick and has an old tile gabled roof. The building is L-shaped, consisting of three by two framed bays, with a small 20th-century extension on the north side. It stands two storeys tall and has a large chimney on the right side.
On the entrance front, there is a pent roof over the right-hand bay, a small single light casement window with glazing bars on the left on the first floor, and a Yorkshire sliding sash window with bars on the right. To the left, there is a one-storey, flat-roofed 20th-century extension with an entrance door on the side. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, featuring St. Andrews cross bracing in the sitting room, along with an inglenook fireplace that includes a bread oven on the left.
