Description

The Glen is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building features a combination of part timber frame with painted brick infill and part painted bricks. It has a thatched gabled roof with low eaves and is 1 and a half storeys tall. A 19th-century chimney is located on the ridge at the center of the roof. There are two 2-light 19th-century casement windows on the northeast and south fronts, and a small 20th-century porch extension on the northwest side. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed, including one principal beam on the ground floor that has chamfers and stopped ends.
