Description

Little Gaunt is a late 15th-century jettied crosswing that has been altered over time and is now a separate house from Gaunt Cottage. The building features a timber frame with painted stucco facing and an old tile gabled roof. It has three framed bays, with the jetty enclosed in the 19th century. The front facing the road has one bay gable, a 19th-century upper two-light casement window, and a central entrance door with six panels, flanked by large 20-pane sash windows from the 19th century. Inside, most of the timber frame is exposed, and the roof includes a queen post design with long curved windbraces.
