Description
The Adams chest tomb, located approximately 7 metres north of the middle of the north aisle of Church St Michael, is an 18th-century memorial to the Adams family. It is made of stone and features a plain base that was formerly surrounded by a railing. The tomb has two plain steps leading up to a moulded plinth, with inset corner balusters and moulded inscription panels on the sides and ends. At the top, there is a moulded cornice and a flat surface. The inscription commemorates Edward Adams, who died in 1751, along with other family members.
