Description

The Old Thatch is a 17th-century building that has been altered and was originally a pair of houses, now combined into one. It stands two storeys tall with eight bays, featuring a timber frame and painted brick infill, topped with a thatched roof that is hipped on the north side and gabled on the south. The building has old chimneys at each end and irregular modern leaded casement windows. There are also two modern gabled dormers on the west side and a modern false timbered extension at a right angle on the north side. An insurance plaque numbered 459083 is located to the right on the west side. Inside, many original timbers are exposed, showcasing the building's historic character.
