Description
The Dewdrop Inn is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the mid-18th century and was altered and extended in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of chalk and flint rubble with red brick dressings, and it features areas of brick and painted render. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a gable design. The inn has a long rectangular plan and includes 20th-century single-storey flat-roof extensions at the rear. It stands two storeys tall and has three chimneys with offset heads and clay pots, with the right end chimney being full height and divided into three stages. Most of the windows are 19th-century wooden casements with cambered heads. The entrance on the west front has five windows on both floors, with a plain door in the centre set within a 20th-century gabled porch. There is also a one-bay 19th-century brick extension on the left side.
