Description
A group of five gravestones is located approximately 4 metres south-east of the south chapel of the Church of St Michael. This group includes headstones, bodystones, and footstones from five graves, with two dating from the 18th century and three from the early 19th century. The headstones are shaped and carved but have eroded over time. The plain bodystones are tapered at both ends, while the footstones are shaped to match the headstones and feature heavily eroded inscriptions and dates. The first headstone, closest to the church, has an hourglass motif above the inscription. The second headstone displays a gadrooned urn on scrolls and paterae above a moulded oval inscription tablet. The third footstone from the church is inscribed with "M.A. 1812," the fourth with "E.A. 1823," and the fifth with "J.A. 1828."
