Description
Nos 1 and 2 on High Street are early 19th-century buildings that have been altered. They are three storeys high, with the upper part finished in stucco featuring incised lines. A moulded string course runs above the second-floor windows, which are five small windows without glazing bars. The first floor has five windows, with the outer and central windows framed by architrave surrounds, all situated beneath a moulded band topped by a pediment over the central window. The ground floor has plain modern shops. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 4, 4a, 5 to 9, 9A, and 10 to 26, as well as the Dairy Pavilion in the garden of No 7 and Mistress Pages House.
