Description

49 and 50 Cheap Street is a pair of buildings that likely date from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with some remodeling done in the mid-19th century. The front of the building once displayed the date "1637." The structure has two storeys and features dormers, with a tile roof. It has five windows, including large, tile-hung, gabled casement dormers. The front is made of stucco and has a deep, coved eaves cornice. The first floor has architraved sash windows, and there are late 19th-century shopfronts. At the south end, there is an entrance passage that leads to the former Dotham Place. Inside, there is the base of a large central stack.
