23 Northbrook Street is an early 19th century building that was refronted and was formerly part of the Jack Hotel, which was demolished in the early 20th century. The structure has three storeys and features two windows. It has a Welsh slate roof and a stucco front that includes an eaves cornice and a plain band at the second floor level. The windows are recessed sash types with keys and glazing bars. There is a modern shop front.
