Description
The Brook House is a late 18th and early 19th century house situated on the east side of The Street, Aldermaston. It is constructed of red brick with grey bands and panels, featuring a dentil brick eaves cornice and an old tile roof, hipped to the left. The layout is in a T-shape. The house is two storeys high and comprises five bays. The windows are mostly glazing bar sashes with segmental heads; however, there are two casements on the first floor to the right and a blank ground floor bay to the right. The central entrance has a half-glazed door, enclosed within a doorcase with fluted pilasters, pateae, and brackets supporting a flat pediment. Two ridge stacks are situated off-centre to the left and right.
