Description
Nos. 36 and 37 on The Street are two cottages dating from the 17th century, with a refacing and addition from the 18th century. They feature a timber frame with a redbrick facing and have toothed eaves beneath an old tile hipped roof. There is a central ridge stack above the left-hand doorway and another stack at the rear on the left. The entrance has been altered to a lobby type. The cottages consist of two framed bays and are two storeys high, with leaded casements. The first floor has three 2-light casements, while the ground floor has three 3-light casements, two of which on the right have segmental heads. There are also two doorways with segmental heads and boarded doors, one on the right and one between the first and second windows from the left, both accessed by two steps. The left doorway features 20th-century curved wrought iron railings.
