Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Station Road in East Garston. It features a timber frame with brick infill on the sides and rear, and an 18th-century brick facing on the front. The thatched roof sweeps around the upper floor windows, is half-hipped on the sides, and has an outshut at the rear. There are chimneys positioned to the right, left, and off-centre to the left.

On the right-hand side, there are two three-light timber casements with a central door, all featuring cambered heads under brick arches. The left-hand side has two two-light casements flanking a central door beneath a timber lintel. The upper floor on the right-hand side has two casements. The roadside gable displays remains of an early window within the timber framing.
