Description

Smythy Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Hyde End Lane in Brimpton. It features a timber-framed structure with a rendered exterior and a half hipped thatched roof, which has a central ridge stack. The cottage is designed with a lobby entrance and stands two storeys tall, with one framed bay still visible on the north side. The east front includes two 20th-century casement windows on each floor, along with a central door that is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. There is also a 20th-century addition to the west of the cottage.
