Description

Pincents Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with refacing and additions made around 1920. The building features a rendered timber frame with angle braces and rendered brick additions. It has plat bands and an old tile roof, which includes a half hip at the lower gable end on the right, a catslide over the outshot at the rear, and a twin tile-hung gabled projecting stair tower at the back. There is an end stack on the right and a large central ridge stack that is off-centre to the left.

On the left side, there are two large tile-hung gabled dormers with 4-light diamond leaded casements, and a smaller blank tile-hung gabled dormer on the right. The farmhouse has four framed bays and an L-plan due to a 20th-century addition on the right at the rear. It is two storeys tall with attics. The first floor has two 5-light leaded casements on the left and a 4-light leaded casement on the right. The ground floor features two 3-light leaded casements on the left and a 3-light leaded casement on the right. A 20th-century boarded door is located on the right, flanked by 20th-century leaded casements.

Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered beams, posts, rails, and purlins, along with 17th-century doors and chamfered doorframes. There is also a 17th-century staircase and window frames, which include some mullions. The roof structure is a side-purlin design.
