Description
This building is a school structure located approximately 30 meters to the northeast of the gatehouse at Douai School. It was constructed in 1915, likely designed by Sebastian Pugin Powell. The building is made of red brick with stone dressings and features angle buttresses, string courses at the cill levels, and a continuous drip moulding at the ground floor. The gable ends are coped and parapetted, and the roof is tiled with two stacks. It is designed in a free Tudor Gothic style and consists of two storeys and a garret.
On the south front, there are four first-floor windows with three arched lights, while the ground floor has cross windows with arched upper lights and returned hoodmoulds. The east front features triple lancets in the gable end, with a drip mould raised over the central light. There is a central first-floor canopied niche flanked by two-light windows and returned hoodmoulds, along with a three-light ground floor window that has a segmental arch and hoodmould. The entrance is located on the west side.
