Description

This milestone, located on the east side of the A340 in Tidmarsh, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and features black lettering with a chamfer around the top. The milestone has a semi-circular section and is inscribed on the north side with "TO BASINGSTOKE 17" and on the south side with "TO WALLINGFORD 11."
