Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 20th-century additions. It is timber framed with angle braces and red brick nogging, and has an old tile roof with a gabled cross wing projecting to the left. A large central stack is located just behind the ridge above the door, and there are two gabled eaves dormers to the right, each containing a two-light leaded casement. The cottage has two framed bays, with a two-framed bay cross wing. The first floor has a two-light leaded casement to the right, and a two-light attic casement within the cross wing to the left. A 20th-century bay window with a hipped tile roof is located below this. A central, lean-to porch in the angle contains a boarded door. A 20th-century conservatory is attached to the right.
