Description

Tidmarsh House is a mid-18th century farmhouse. It was originally listed as Tidmarsh Farmhouse. The main part of the house is built of grey brick with a red brick plinth, decorative brick detailing, and brick chainage. The west end is red brick. The roof is tiled, with a coved plaster cornice and two gabled dormers to the east, featuring glazing bar sash windows. There are three gabled ranges projecting to the west, each with a chimney stack. The house is two storeys and an attic, with a 1½-storey section to the west. The east front has five bays featuring glazing bar sash windows with exposed wooden boxes. The central doorway has a six-panelled door, with the bottom two panels flush and the top two fielded, above a rectangular overlight, a moulded surround, and shaped brackets with guttae supporting a cornice.
