Description

This milestone, dating from the 18th or 19th century, is located on the east side of the road to Wantage, 100 metres north of the road to South Hidden Farmhouse. It is made of flat stone with a cambered head and is inscribed with the distances to Wantage (9 miles) and Hungerford (4½ miles).
