Description

The railway underbridge, built around 1840 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, is a Grade II listed structure located at SU 6336 7663 on Pangbourne Station Road. It is constructed of red brick and features a string course, a parapet, and slightly projecting battered abutments. The bridge has three chamfered skew arches, with a central vehicular arch flanked by smaller pedestrian arches. This underbridge is one of the original bridges built for the Great Western Railway.
