Description
Beenham House is a house built in the early to mid 19th century. It features white painted brick with a narrow frieze and deep eaves beneath a hipped slate roof, which has seven stacks. The house has two storeys and a south front with 12 bays, where the central three bays slightly project. The windows are glazing bar sashes with chamfered reveals, and those on the ground floor have been cut down to include margin lights. The west front has seven bays, and a mid-19th century single-storey conservatory projects to the right. This conservatory has stone dressings, a cornice, and a pierced parapet, with six bays and an entrance in the third bay from the right featuring two three-panelled doors, a rectangular fanlight, a fluted architrave, and pilasters that support a flat hood. The north front has six bays, with the entrance located in the second bay from the left, which includes two three-panelled doors, a semi-circular wreathed fanlight, and an Ionic porch with two columns that support a frieze and cornice. Inside, the main features are from the mid-19th century, including a large double-height staircase hall with a central-mounting Imperial staircase, two Ionic columns supporting the landing, and an oval skylight.
