The Hermitage is a mid-18th century house located on Wantage Road in Hungerford. It features an old tile roof with flanking chimneys and is constructed of grey brick with red dressings, as well as part grey headers and red stretchers. The building has two storeys and is designed in an L shape.
The front elevation includes three irregular casements with cambered heads and dentil eaves on the first floor. There is a central door with six raised and fielded panels, topped by a rectangular fanlight and a flat hood supported by cut brackets. This door is flanked by wide four-light casements, also with cambered heads. To the left, there is a one-storey extension. The right flank elevation is partially rendered and features irregular casements with cambered heads.
