Description

The Red Lion is a public house located on Charnham Street in Hungerford. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features a hipped tiled roof on the left and a gabled crosswing on the right, along with a large chimney at the rear and a dentil course along the eaves. The exterior is a mix of painted render and painted brick, arranged in an L shape with a hipped extension at the angle. The structure has two storeys and displays irregularly spaced glazing bar sash windows, 20th-century casements, and some blocked openings on the left side. Above a 20th-century door under the gable on the right, there is one glazing bar sash window.
