Description
No. 4 Charnham Street is a house that has been converted into a house and shop, dating from the late 18th century. It features a hipped tiled roof that slopes to the north, with a ridge chimney and two gabled dormers. The brick walls are constructed with grey headers and red stretchers, and there is a first-floor band along with a rendered panel to the left. The building has two storeys and an attic, with five glazing bar sash windows that have exposed box frames and painted keystones; the second window from the right is blocked on the first floor. To the left, there is a six-panel door with a flat hood, while to the right are two sashes and wide 20th-century double doors. The north elevation includes a two-storey high segmental bay shop window with glazing bars. The building is continuous with No. 5 Charnham Street.
