Description
The wall in the north-east corner of the garden of St Julian's Hospital is likely from the 12th and 15th centuries. It consists of two walls at an angle, constructed from ashlar stone with rubble infill, standing about 2 meters high. The eastern wall features a splayed window, probably originally with two lights, which is now blocked. This window includes several Norman mouldings and fragments of perpendicular tracery. Additionally, to the south of this window, there is a complete piscina or stamp in the style of the 14th century. These walls may be remnants of the 12th-century St Julian's Hospital.
