Description

The entrance gates, gate piers, and walls to Hollybrook Cemetery were built around 1910. They are constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The main vehicle entrance is arched and features drip moulding that ends in corbels, topped by a stepped parapet displaying the Southampton Civic Shield. Flanking the entrance are two gate piers, each consisting of three stages: the lowest is square, while the upper two are octagonal. Each pier is crowned with a statue of an angel. On either side of the main entrance, there are pedestrian entrances that are flanked by square piers with gabled caps, and a wall that stands about 2 feet high.
