Description
The Church of St James, built in 1836 by W Hinves, is designed in the Commissioners Gothic style. It features yellow brick construction with a slate roof, stone coping, and pinnacles. The west tower is adorned with pinnacles, and there are brick and stone buttresses. The nave contains five neo-decorated windows. An apsidal-ended chancel was added in 1881. The interior of the church is galleried.
