Description
The Church of St Augustine, built in 1881, is designed in a Neo-Early English style by architect Henry Woodyer. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a tiled roof. The church has a nave with a clerestory and an apsidal-ended chancel, which includes a range of high lancet windows. There are north and south aisles, and a bellcote that separates the nave from the chancel. Inside, there is a wooden chancel screen with a rood, a piscina, and triple stepped sedilia located on the south wall of the chancel. Additionally, a mosaic reredos enhances the interior.
