Description

The Chapel to the Royal South Hampshire Hospital was probably built in 1858 by the architects Hinves and Bedborough. It is designed in a Perpendicular style that is reminiscent of St George's Chapel in Windsor. The building is constructed of stone and features a crenellated gable along with octagonal corner turrets. The east window is decorated with tracery. Inside, the chapel has four bays and a hammerbeam type roof. The furnishings, including the pews, altar, pulpit, and lectern, are all from the same period as the chapel's construction.
