Description
Peartree House, located on Peartree Avenue, was built by 1617 and refaced around 1800. It is a two-storey building with a cemented exterior and a tiled roof, featuring a 17th-century chimney stack. The south facade is adorned with a castellated parapet. On the first floor, there are seven sashes with intact glazing bars, while the end window bays project and have hipped roofs. The centre of the ground floor includes a verandah supported by five wooden archways with Neo-Tudor heads. The wings feature iron balconettes on the first floor windows, and the side elevations have tripartite sashes. Inside, the house has inglenook fireplaces, most of which are blocked.
