Description
17 Lombard Street is a house that features an early to mid 19th century front on an 18th century building. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a hipped plain tile roof with a central brick stack. The house has two storeys and two bays. The door is located to the left and has six moulded panels within a reeded doorcase, topped by a semicircular fanlight. The doorcase is flanked by brick jambs and has a round brick arch with a brick keystone above. There are three stone steps leading up to the doorway, which are accompanied by flanking guard rails. To the left, there are two sash windows on the first floor, both set under segmental brick arches. The projecting window sills have panelled fronts and are fitted with attached metal window guards. A brick dentil band runs above the first floor, capped with stone, and there is a stone-coped parapet at the top. The interior has not been inspected.
