Description
St Vincent Lodge is a villa built in 1843 by T.E. Owen, which later served as a social services office and is now unoccupied. The building is stuccoed and features a low pitch Welsh slate hipped roof with rendered stacks on the left and right sides of the rear pitch. It has two storeys and a basement, with three bays, the centre bay being wider. The corners are accentuated with rusticated quoins.
At the front, nine stone steps with attached railings lead up to a two-storey projecting porch that has a round arch opening. The ground floor is rusticated, and there is a recessed two-leaf glazed door with a round arch at the rear. The first floor includes a band and a tripartite window featuring a wide centre sash flanked by narrow side sashes, topped with a tented metal roof. On both the left and right sides of the first floor, there are casement windows. The building is adorned with a Vitruvian scroll frieze and a dentil eaves cornice.
On the left return, the building is three bays wide, with the right bay projecting and also featuring rusticated quoins. The centre of this return has a two-panelled recessed door with a moulded architrave, and the windows are similar to those at the front.
