Description
The boundary wall and gate piers to numbers 29-43 Kent Road in Southsea were built between 1837 and 1840 by T.E. Owen. The wall is stuccoed and features a battered design with a moulded string course and coping. The gate piers at number 29, which face Sussex Road, are rusticated and topped with weathered moulded caps and stone ball finials. The central piers facing Kent Road are plain, with a cap and ball finial on the left pier. On the right side, returning to number 43, there are three similar piers that do not have ball finials. This structure is included for its group value.
