Description
Stonebridgehouse Farmhouse is an early to mid 18th century limestone house located on the south side of Newport Road in Wolverton. The building is designed in the form of two houses joined at the northeast end, separated by a narrow gully, and features gable ends to the road that are connected by a parapet. It is two stories tall with a steep old tile roof, raised verges that have simply carved kneelers, and late brick chimney stacks.
The façade includes three unequally spaced hipped dormers. On the first floor, there are four sash windows with glazing bars set in plain flush frames, while the ground floor has three similar windows with flat arches. The eaves are moulded stone, and there is a stone doorcase with pilasters and an entablature. A pair of glazed doors with marginal glazing, panelled reveals, and soffit are present. The southeast front features three windows with wooden lintels, one of which has brick dressings on the first floor. Most of the windows are glazing bar sash windows, except for a casement window on the right side of the ground floor, which is accompanied by a glazed door.
