Description

Manor Farm House is an early 19th-century limestone house located on the Old Wolverton Road. Originally listed as Old Wolverton Manor, it is roughly L-shaped with a steep-pitched gabled roof covered in red tiles, and brick chimney stacks with stone bases. The south front features three segmental-headed dormers with sash windows. There are single-window extensions at each end of the front, slightly lower than the main two-storey section which has three windows: two tripartite sashes and a narrow single-light sash, all within reveals with cambered heads, keystones, and glazing bars. The central entrance is defined by a stone doorcase with two three-quarter columns, a plain entablature, and a blocking course. The door has marginal glazing and panelled reveals and soffit. The rear is constructed of rubble. A hipped dormer and an early sash window are also present on the rear elevation. The interior features a wide oak staircase with turned balusters and finials. The first-floor landing is large, with projecting cupboards having curved walls.
