Description

Manor Cottages are an early 18th-century stone house, undergoing conversion at the time of survey. The building has a steep pitched roof covered in early tiles, brick chimney stacks, and moulded stone eaves. There are three hipped dormers visible. The front elevation has five windows, one of which is blind, featuring 2-light casements with flat arched heads, and a larger 4-light window on the ground floor, with two long and two short lights. A central door has four fielded panels and a rectangular window above. Two dated quoins on the south-east corner bear the dates 17X5 and 1754. Inside, the building features simple stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, an inglenook fireplace, and a square oak staircase with turned balusters.
