Description
The Almshouses located south-east of the Church of All Saints were built in 1830. This two-storey building features three reflected pairs of paired doorways with depressed segmental arches and bracketed porches, all covered with slate. The doors are made of beaded planks. There are six paired casement windows on both floors, each with stone drip moulds. On the first floor, three stone Maltese crosses are set within brick panels. The building has a slate roof with verges supported by stone kneelers and four chimneys. The elevation facing the church includes six windows, with blocked paired windows that have stone mullions, surrounds, and labels on the ground floor, topped by a brick band. The first floor has small lattice windows with cast-iron casements and stone drip moulds. The west gable features a plaque with a label above it that reads 'DEO AC PAUPERIEIIS MDCCCXXX'.
