Description

The building consists of six consecutive almshouses, constructed in the late 17th century and altered over time. They are made of red brick with flared headers and feature old tile roofs. The almshouses are arranged in two parallel blocks that run north and south, surrounded by low brick walls. There is a gateway with piers leading into the churchyard on the south side.

Each block has an inner front with six bays of leaded casement windows: two-light windows on the upper floor and three-light windows on the ground floor, along with six modern part-glazed doors. The doors are positioned at each end and in two groups of two between the second and third bays from each end. The rear elevations are rendered on the ground floor and have six small single-light windows on the upper floor. The gable ends are moulded and coped, with a first-floor string course and three large chimney stacks on each block.

The garden walls to the east are faced with stone, while the walls to the west and south connect to the north fronts of the almshouses and link the two ranges. At the south end, there are square brick piers with stone caps and ball finials on ogee plinths, located on either side of the gateway.
